Mob Levels makes hostile creatures stronger as a world ages. Newly spawned enemies receive levels from 1 to 100, with colored labels indicating their strength. By default, the base level rises once every two in-game days and stops at 50, while individual mobs can reach higher levels.

Mob Levels - 4

Stronger enemies and rewards

Levels improve health, damage, movement and resistance; health can reach four times the normal value. Suitable mobs gain iron armor from level 50 and diamond armor from 75, but that armor does not drop. Level-80 enemies emit a golden warning effect. Bonus loot can include experience, ingots, emeralds and enchanted books.

Mob Levels - 5

Bonus rewards require a player to deal at least half of the mob’s health as direct damage. Environmental kills do not qualify for the extra loot. This keeps the progression focused on combat rather than automatically multiplying rewards from unattended farms.

World configuration

Use the behavior-pack gear menu to adjust progression, the base-level cap, armor, rewards, labels and announcements. Warden scaling is disabled by default. Changes affect newly spawned mobs; already modified creatures retain their statistics until they disappear. Experimental features are not required. The health bars shown in the examples come from the author’s separate Mob Health Bar add-on, which is optional.

Mob Levels - 6

The base-level limit can be configured from 10 to 100. Level-80 mobs guarantee at least one bonus reward when the combat conditions are met, and certain powerful mobs can start dropping diamonds from level 70. Announcements report when the base level increases or reaches its cap; they can be disabled in the pack settings.
