Addon: Health & Damage Bar

Health & Damage Bar is a useful Minecraft Bedrock addon that shows entity health directly above mobs. The bar updates in real time: when a mob takes damage, heals or changes HP, the information appears above the target.

The addon helps players understand combat more clearly, especially in survival, PvP, boss fights and packs with strong custom mobs. The page marks it as achievement friendly, and no experimental toggle requirement is listed, so the publication uses settings=0.

Health bar

A clean health bar appears above mobs. Players can see current and maximum HP, making it easier to judge how close an enemy is to defeat.

The bar color changes depending on health level. This helps quickly identify weakened enemies and mobs that still have a lot of HP.

Damage display

The addon shows damage values from different sources: normal attacks, lava, fire and other effects. This is useful for testing weapons, mobs and combat mechanics.

Both vanilla Minecraft entities and modded mobs from other addons are supported. The author tested support with custom entities.

Display setup

If the bar displays incorrectly, the author recommends enabling In-Game Player Names in game settings. This fixes the visual display glitch.

After enabling the setting, the health bar and HP text should appear more reliably above entities.

Compatibility

The addon is useful for normal survival, PvP arenas, boss maps and packs with many mobs. It also has RLCraft Bedrock-related fixes: boss bar glitch fixes, backpack storage issue fixes and leveling support when placed under the RLCraft addon.

Update

  • lag spikes were fixed by removing heavy entity searches during cleanup;
  • performance was improved by caching mob names and health data;
  • automatic memory cleanup was added when players leave the world;
  • the display glitch was fixed;
