Space: Beyond Earth adds fourteen destinations across the Solar System, each reached with its own rocket. Planetary skies and gravity change the feel of exploration, while space equipment, vehicles and local resources create a new survival progression. The author recommends starting in a new world.

Destinations and launch
Travel to the Moon, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Phobos, Deimos, Ceres, the Asteroid Belt, Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, Titan and Enceladus. Build a 3 by 3 launch pad, place the selected rocket in its center, board it and choose Launch.

A lander handles arrival at the destination. Use an Earth Module on the lander to return home; the parachute deploys automatically during the return. A buggy provides another way to move around after landing.

Equipment and threats
Wear a complete space suit and keep oxygen available before exploring hostile environments. Different gravity affects movement, and nighttime meteor events add another environmental hazard. Some familiar hostile mobs also appear with space helmets.

Explore dungeons with evolved bosses: a Lost Zombie on Mars, a Skeleton on Venus, a Spider on Mercury and a Bat in the Asteroid Belt. Ruby and sapphire equipment expands crafting, while the Moon has its own cheese ore. Exploration therefore supplies both new battles and resources.
The rocket recipes distinguish the destinations, so prepare the rocket for the body you intend to visit. The illustrated recipes below cover launch equipment, several planetary and moon rockets, the Earth Module and pieces of the space suit. Keep the return module and oxygen supplies in mind before leaving the launch site.
