Addon: Wheel of Adaptation
Author: xVoid_Kittyx
Repeated exposure to danger becomes a form of progression. The wheel worn above the player's head tracks sources of harm and rotates as resistance develops, while a second craftable item supplies an undead-focused melee weapon and a ranged slash. The two systems recreate different parts of Mahoraga's abilities.

How adaptation works
Wear the wheel on your head. Repeated damage from a particular source turns it through stages, reducing that type of damage until full adaptation cancels it. Mobs, weapons, projectiles, environmental hazards and harmful effects are tracked separately. Related threats can share part of their progress, such as zombies and their variants or different fire hazards.
- Ordinary physical attacks require 3 turns, magic and effects 5, elite mobs 6, and bosses 8.
- Each turn restores part of your missing health; completing an adaptation fully heals you. Passive regeneration becomes stronger as completed adaptations accumulate.
- Completed adaptations also increase outgoing damage, up to a general 25% bonus, in addition to the bonus against adapted mobs.
- The HUD shows the current threat and progress. Progress survives a normal return to the world, but death or removing the wheel resets its benefits.
Sword of Extermination
The sword deals 1.75 times damage to undead. An undead target at 20% health or below can be purified immediately, healing the wielder; zombie villagers are cured instead, and the Wither is immune to this execution.
Use Positive Slash to launch a piercing wave up to 12 blocks. It damages enemies and can cut up to 32 blocks, with a 7-second cooldown. Containers and technical blocks are protected; block cutting is disabled in Adventure and Spectator modes.
Crafting recipes
Wheel, arranged by rows: gold block / echo shard / gold block; netherite ingot / nether star / netherite ingot; gold block / echo shard / gold block.
Sword, arranged by rows: gold ingot / totem of undying / gold ingot; gold ingot / netherite sword / gold ingot; gold ingot / blaze rod / gold ingot. Both items can therefore be obtained through survival crafting.
Rapid repeated hits from the same source speed up adaptation: a hit within two seconds counts as one and a half hits. Undead purification does not execute the Wither. In version 1.1, effects delivered by a fully adapted attack are blocked as well, so an adapted stray arrow cannot reapply its slowing effect.
How to install the add-on
Download the .mcaddon or .mcpack file, open it with Minecraft and wait for the import to finish. Then enable the resource and behavior packs in the world settings. If the add-on requires experiments, turn them on before launching the world.
