Addon: Avatar Addon Overhaul Update

Avatar Addon brings the combat system from Avatar: The Last Airbender to Minecraft Bedrock. It adds bending for the four elements: air, earth, water and fire. Players can also choose a nonbender path, while the 2.0.0 update introduces the separate Dark Avatar route.

After spawning, players receive a tutorial screen and a bending scroll. The scroll is used to choose a style, configure moves, open the skill tree and manage movesets. The addon is built for singleplayer, PvP, servers and SMP worlds with admin configuration.

Scroll and slots

The main item is the bending scroll. It lets players choose a style, bind moves to hotbar slots, set activation actions and save multiple setups.

Slots correspond to hotbar spaces 1-9. Each slot can hold one move, while a separate binding defines how it is activated: interaction, sneaking or another action. Movesets make it easier to switch between layouts for combat, movement or exploration.

Skills, chi and combat

The skill tree unlocks new abilities using XP. Many skills branch into different paths, so choices matter and can lock alternatives. If a player wants to rebuild, the Reforge option resets the chosen progression.

Moves are split into standard, charged and toggle types. Charged moves consume chi while held, while toggle moves stay active until triggered again and drain chi over time. In PvP, focus and chi overflow matter: chained successful hits fill a bar, then grant stronger chi regeneration and increased move damage.

Elements

• Air: a fast defensive style with evasion, dashes, double jump, air cushion, air ball, vortex, tornado, pull, push and spirit form;
• Earth: a durable counterattack style with earth walls, shields, spikes, earthquake, seismic sense, vein mining and metal hook;
• Water: a flexible support and control style with water streams, ice spikes, geyser, frost walker, healing, healing cloud, vine hook, frost breath and bloodbending under the full moon;
• Fire: an aggressive high-damage style with flame waves, dashes, fire boosters, fireball, lightning, thunderclap, electroshock, combustion beam and flame aura;
• Nonbender: a non-elemental path with chi blocking, dash, boomerang, truesight, rewind, endurance and negative effect treatment.

Version 2.0.0 update

2.0.0 Overhaul is described by the author as the most stable, polished and complete version of the addon so far. The main new feature is Dark Avatar, a selectable bending type with its own skill tree and expensive high-impact moves.

• added Dark Avatar moves: Chaos Beam, Singularity, Supernova and Elemental Typhoon;
• added an Air Glider Pack with elytra-style animations, broken and repaired texture states and a crafting recipe;
• reworked Avatar State: by default it now runs for a limited timed duration, scales with level and can activate automatically at low health;
• reworked blocking with timing-based Perfect Block and Good Block mechanics;
• added elemental armor sets for Air, Earth, Fire and Water, plus weapons such as Earth Dual Hammers and Fire Nation Spear;
• moved move damage into configurable tiers: Light, Medium, Medium+, Heavy and Ultra;
• returned supercharged Avatar moves with high chi costs and long cooldowns;
• reworked No Bending Zones so they can disable specific moves instead of all bending.

Admin menu and fixes

The admin menu has been expanded. Admins can manage player homes, see coordinates and dimensions, teleport to homes and delete them. New options cover clearing TNT, minecarts, maps, weapons, Creaking Hearts, Sculk Catalysts and admin items.

Other settings include Keep Inventory, dimension locks, Avatar reset on death, random or final bending choice, Avatar permission, Permanent Avatar State and hidden vanilla death messages. The update also fixes Thunderclap audio, Avatar level 1 moves, No Bending Zones, Magma Surge, damage reflection, double input activation and move-related teleport issues.
