The Bedrock port of Conczin's aircraft collection offers a fleet for exploration, cargo delivery and cooperative flights. Release 1.1.0 updates inventories and settings, so the instructions below reflect the new controls rather than the removed commands.

Immersive Aircraft - 2

Aircraft collection

The one-seat Biplane needs a runway and has a boiler, 16 cargo slots, one weapon slot and four upgrade slots. Fireworks can provide a boost. The two-seat Gyrodyne needs no fuel: hold Forward to spin its rotor. It offers 18 cargo slots, one weapon and three upgrades. The compact bamboo Quadrocopter hovers precisely, with one seat, six cargo slots and one slot each for a weapon and upgrade.

Immersive Aircraft - 4

Immersive Aircraft - 6

The regular Airship carries two people and 16 cargo slots, climbs vertically and accepts one weapon and three upgrades. Cargo Airship trades weapons for storage. In version 1.1.0 it has 87 cargo slots on one inventory screen, without the old cargo-bank switching. It seats two and supports four upgrades.

Immersive Aircraft - 5

The Warship carries four crew members, uses three boilers and has two weapon positions, six upgrades and a stronger hull. Its updated inventory has 79 cargo slots. The Bamboo Hopper is a three-seat seaplane that can float and take off from water; it has one boiler, 16 cargo slots, two weapons, four upgrades and a rocket booster.

Fuel, upgrades and repairs

Boilers accept furnace fuels and blaze powder. Engines build speed gradually and stop when fuel runs out. Aircraft need enough speed to stay aloft, while airships and rotorcraft can hover. Rain and storms increase wind drift; gyroscopes counter it. Hard impacts damage the hull, and severe crashes can destroy the craft. Interact to repair a damaged machine at a small hunger cost.

Upgrade engines and propellers for speed, improve fuel economy, reinforce the hull or install landing gear for better acceleration. Advanced gyroscopes add flight readouts. Upgrades remain with an aircraft when it is picked up again, but spilled cargo must be collected separately. Dye the aircraft in colored cauldron water; sails accept dyes and banners show their base color.

Immersive Aircraft - 9

Weapons

A rotary cannon follows your aim and uses gunpowder, a heavy crossbow fires forward using arrows, and a bomb bay consumes TNT. A telescope offers a closer view without ammunition. Attack with an empty hand to use installed weapons. On a Warship, crew members operate their own positions. Weapons do not damage blocks by default; that behavior is configurable.

Controls in version 1.1.0

  • Place the aircraft item on the ground and interact to board.
  • Sneak + interact opens the inventory of an empty aircraft. With fuel, rockets or an upgrade in hand, the same action installs it.
  • Sneak + hit opens the aircraft panel; it no longer destroys the vehicle.
  • On planes, W lowers the nose and S raises it. Jump increases throttle; Sneak decreases it and brakes on the ground.
  • On rotorcraft and airships, W/S moves forward/backward and Jump/Sneak controls height.
  • Use a firework while flying to boost. Jump and Sneak together dismount; press twice in the air.
  • Controls are adapted for keyboard, controller and touch. The recipe book lists crafting recipes.

Settings and graphics

Change world options under Settings > Behavior Packs > Immersive Aircraft > gear icon. Speed, lift, fuel use, wind, collision damage, weapons, repairs and camera options are available there without commands. The former /ia:aircraft and /ia:config commands were removed in 1.1.0. The remaining /ia:dev command is for advanced developer options and requires cheats and operator permission.

Vibrant Visuals is optional. With it enabled, the material textures add metallic reflections, depth and light passing through sails. Aircraft illustrations show renders of the actual models rather than gameplay screenshots. Bedrock limitations include non-tilting riders, no camera roll, text-based flight instruments and banners without their patterns.
