Addon: Horror Stories
Author: TresAleStudio
Two mysterious books turn an ordinary Minecraft world into the starting point for separate horror adventures. One leads to the Valdés family home; the other opens a metro journey where the next stop may be a trap. Explore, collect clues and look for different endings instead of simply fighting waves of monsters.
Starting a story
Two storybooks are given to you on your first visit to a world with the addon. Use either book, choose Easy, Normal or Hard, and enter its adventure. Closing the book returns you to your world; you can later continue the story. Your usual inventory is stored separately during the adventure and restored when you leave.
The Valdés House
The first book takes you into an old house during a nighttime storm. Search its furnished rooms, find clues and work out how to escape. The bedrooms, study and attic contain objects that can help you understand what happened to the family.

Open drawers, wardrobes and chests, examine the furniture and collect keys and handwritten notes. Important objects change their hiding places between playthroughs, so knowing the room layout does not reveal every solution.

A handheld flashlight helps you search dark corners, but its battery gradually runs down. Watch the charge indicator and look for spare batteries. The light also matters during encounters with the presence haunting the house.

The house becomes more hostile as the story progresses. Strange appearances, moving details and sudden encounters interrupt your search; the danger is not limited to one room.

Your discoveries and decisions lead to a bad, ordinary or true ending. Read the clues and pay attention to interactive objects if you want to uncover more than the shortest escape route.

The Last Train
The second book sends you into a late-night metro journey. Search seats and bins for coins, buy tickets from machines and keep a ticket ready for the conductor. Other passengers are not ordinary travellers: some move when you turn away.

The route has six stations, but not every stop is what it seems. Inspect the platform and decide whether to leave the carriage or remain aboard. A wrong decision sets back your progress. Explore the station rooms and collect clues to discover the train story's three endings.

Difficulty settings
- Easy gives you more resources and time to react. In the house, the flashlight lasts longer; on the train, mistakes cost one station and the display warns about anomalies.
- Normal reduces those advantages. A train mistake costs two stations, and display warnings are not guaranteed.
- Hard makes encounters more dangerous and resources scarce. Flashlight charge runs out faster, train mistakes reset route progress, and automatic health regeneration is disabled. In the train story, chocolate restores health.
Crafting and useful items
- Valdés House book: combine a book with an ink sac.
- Last Train book: combine a book with a rail.
- Two batteries: place a copper ingot, redstone dust and another copper ingot vertically.
- Flashlight: put glass above a battery, with iron ingots to its left, right and below.
- The flashlight and batteries can also be used outside the stories, in your ordinary world.
The addon includes ten interface languages, including English and Russian.
How to install the add-on
Download the .mcaddon or .mcpack file, open it with Minecraft and wait for the import to finish. Then enable the resource and behavior packs in the world settings. If the add-on requires experiments, turn them on before launching the world.
