Addon: Better on Bedrock

Better on Bedrock is a broad survival expansion that adds new biomes, structures, creatures, equipment, crafting stations, resources, travel tools, food, and progression while keeping the experience close to vanilla Minecraft. Version 1.2.1 also extends the End with new landscapes and content.

The End expansion

The End receives several visually distinct regions with dense alien vegetation, crystal growths, unusual trees, colored fog, and new creatures. The screenshots show multiple terrain styles rather than a single repeated biome, giving long expeditions more variety.

Overworld biomes

Vanilla forests, dark forests, plains, birch forests, savannas, taigas, swamps, jungles, and meadows receive denser vegetation, ground details, new colors, and additional landmarks. The changes preserve recognizable terrain while making each region easier to distinguish.

Items and progression

The expansion introduces new minerals, materials, tools, armor, accessories, scrolls, backpacks, food, and utility objects. Several equipment sets belong to their own progression paths instead of simply copying the statistics of vanilla gear.

Creatures

New hostile and neutral mobs inhabit the expanded biomes and structures. They provide additional encounters, resources, and reasons to explore locations that would otherwise contain only ordinary vanilla creatures.

Structures

Many landmarks appear throughout the Overworld and the new regions. Some are safe points of interest, while others lead into combat, loot, or progression systems.

Trader Outpost

Trader Outposts can appear across the Overworld and serve as homes for Wandering Traders. Their larger design makes the trader feel connected to the world instead of appearing beside a temporary pair of llamas.

Waystone Tower

The Waystone Tower contains loot and an Overworld Waystone at the top. Reaching it adds a useful travel point and rewards players who investigate tall structures visible from a distance.

Adventurer Campsite

The campsite acts as a small starter home connected to the Lost Traveler. It looks like a temporary shelter and provides a lighter point of interest between larger dungeons and bases.

Adventurer House

The Adventurer House is a more developed home base for the Lost Traveler, with a complete building and surrounding details rather than a simple roadside camp.

Flender Outpost

The Flender Outpost adds another hostile or guarded location to the exploration pool. Its vertical construction and isolated placement make it recognizable before the player reaches the entrance.

Abandoned Hut

The Abandoned Hut is a smaller ruined shelter that supports the world's environmental storytelling. It is presented as a place where an unknown traveler once stopped to rest.

River's Base

River's Base is a named landmark tied to music and the history of the Overworld. It works as an atmospheric discovery rather than a generic randomly generated house.

Vindicator Hideouts

Two different Vindicator Hideouts broaden the hostile structure set. Their layouts and silhouettes differ, so discovering one does not immediately reveal the arrangement of the other.

Additional landmarks

Cherry, trail, jungle, and other themed structures extend the pool further. Together with biome decoration, they make exploration less predictable and provide more places for combat and loot.

New blocks

The block collection includes building materials in multiple colors and styles, allowing the structures and equipment systems to share a consistent set of new resources.

Forger

The Forger is a dedicated crafting station used by the addon's progression systems. Its recipe combines copper materials into a separate workstation instead of placing every new recipe in the ordinary crafting table.

Waystone

Waystones create permanent travel points. Their recipe uses an Ender Pearl, iron, and stone-related materials, connecting fast travel to exploration and resource collection.

Miner Bench

The Miner Bench is another specialized station built from metal, crystals, and wooden components. It supports the mining branch of the expansion and its equipment.

Scrolls

Scrolls are crafted from paper and sticks and participate in the addon's utility and progression mechanics. They form a reusable item category rather than a single decorative object.

Backpacks

Backpacks require string, leather, a chest, and copper. They provide an exploration-oriented use for common survival resources and fit naturally into long journeys between structures.

Corstinite and Stardust

Corstinite and Stardust introduce separate material paths with their own equipment, upgrades, and recipes. The two resources are used beyond a single tool and support full progression sets.

Dagger

The dagger offers a compact alternative to standard swords and is crafted from basic early-game materials. It broadens melee equipment without replacing every vanilla weapon.

Stronger String

Stronger String combines ordinary string with leather and becomes a component for more advanced equipment. This gives common mob drops and animal resources another practical use.

Waystone Key

The Waystone Key is assembled from rare purple materials and gold. It belongs to the travel system and provides a crafted link between collected resources and discovered waystones.

Bubble Blower

The Bubble Blower is a separate utility item with a recipe built around dark materials and a central handle. It adds a playful tool alongside the more serious equipment branches.

Fixed Necklace

The repaired necklace uses gold and a damaged or incomplete accessory. It turns a found object into wearable equipment and gives exploration loot a clear purpose.

Stews and food

Several stews combine meat, mushrooms, vegetables, and other ingredients. The recipes expand survival cooking with meals that require a wider selection of gathered food.

Smeared Pearl

A Smeared Pearl is created from an Ender Pearl and dark mineral materials. It becomes an intermediate component rather than acting like an ordinary teleportation item.

Fiery Ingot

The Fiery Ingot combines the upgraded pearl with Nether materials. It connects Overworld and Nether progression and is used for stronger equipment.

Stardust upgrades

Stardust equipment is improved through smithing. The required upgrade template is found in Bastion structures, so the strongest branch cannot be completed from crafting-table resources alone.
