Severity turns ordinary weather into a storm-chasing survival challenge, with evolving supercells, tornadoes and hurricanes. Watch the sky, measure the wind and use warning equipment before a storm reaches your base.

Storms and instruments
- Tornadoes range from F0 to F5, with rope, cone, stovepipe, wedge and multi-vortex shapes. They can pull in entities and lift blocks as debris.
- Hurricanes have C1-C5 categories, eyes, spiral rainbands and changing wind fields. Lightning, gusts and distant storm simulation make weather less predictable.
- NEXRAD-style radar offers tornado detection, supercell monitoring and several ranges. Sirens, weather TV, anemometers and probes help track danger.
- Storm-chasing vehicles include TIV2, Dominator and a Chaser Van.

Important: version 3.0 visuals
Enable Beta APIs. This is the experimental 3.0 release: its volumetric cloud and distant tornado shader mode needs Better RenderDragon or a compatible patched Minecraft renderer. It also retains particle-based clouds. Rendering compatibility varies; overlapping clouds, visual artifacts and performance issues are possible. Do not expect the experimental shader effects to work in an unmodified renderer.
