Addon: Arborea 1.3.0

Author: meinzk

Arborea 1.3.0 replaces ordinary leaf cubes with detailed three-dimensional canopies while keeping vanilla logs, saplings and survival progression. Oak, dark oak, jungle, acacia, mangrove, birch and spruce trees follow the foliage colors of their biome, while cherry, azalea, pale oak and colorful poplar variants use their own palettes.

Trees are generated procedurally and receive alternate orientations, so forests look less repetitive. A custom decay system follows connected wood and nearby leaves, removes unsupported foliage gradually and also clears hanging vines when a tree is cut down.

Bone meal grows the new trees from their usual saplings. Shears and Silk Touch collect three-dimensional leaf blocks, normal harvesting keeps familiar sapling, stick and apple drops, and leaves placed by a player do not decay.

Version 1.3.0 adds falling leaf particles with adjustable density and automatic performance scaling. The foliage also includes PBR texture data and is designed to work with Vibrant Visuals. Newly generated terrain is recommended because old chunks keep their original trees.

Species-aware decay, familiar drops and non-decaying player foliage keep the visual upgrade practical for long survival worlds and detailed builds.
