Echoes of the Nether expands the dimension with a survival progression built around exploration rather than a single new ore.

The Blackstone Desert is an ashen region of ruins occupied by Piglin outcasts. The Crystal Mine uses pale minerals, huge formations and strange vegetation. Both contain camps, towers, foundries, arenas, drills, cranes and hidden industrial sites that blend into the terrain.

Three enemy classes-Grunts, Bulwarks and Warlords-guard rare materials. Their resources unlock a vein-mining Piglin Drill, an item-attracting Hoarder Arm, a Furnace Backpack, a Jetpack and a complete set of war gear.

Crystal resonance, reliquaries, sifting, structure loot and survival events connect the two biomes. Ancient tablets and mural fragments reveal the story indirectly, while blackstone and quartzstone block families provide full sets of bricks, slabs, stairs, walls and decorative variants.

The strongest equipment requires several systems, encouraging travel and combat instead of repetitive farming in one place.
