Addon: Realistic Physics for Falling Trees
Tree Physics makes naturally generated and sapling-grown trees fall as physical structures when their trunks are chopped. Branches and leaves can separate on impact, entities may be crushed or knocked back, and fragile blocks can break under a falling trunk. Crouch while breaking a log when you want to bypass the effect and chop normally.

The addon recognizes trees through special roots created during world generation, so starting a new world is recommended. Trees in old chunks and trees containing player-placed logs or leaves remain ordinary blocks.

A fallen tree reacts to terrain, water, lava, entities and other fallen trees. Attack it to push it, or use an item while looking at it to grab and drag it. After the tree stops moving, it gradually breaks down and drops the usual vanilla resources.

World operators can adjust simulation quality, breakdown speed, impact fracturing and whether movement contributes to breakdown time. Open the settings from the axe button in chat. If another resource pack conflicts with that interface, choose the Compatibility subpack and use /treephysics:settings.

The optional Timber Tumble expansion adds support for conventionally generated trees from other addons. It is unnecessary for vanilla trees and can slow chunk generation. Extremely large trees may cause serious performance loss or crashes, and wooden natural structures can occasionally be misidentified. Version 1.0.2 includes the behavior, compatibility and resource packs and requires Minecraft Bedrock 26.30 or newer.
How to install the add-on
Download the .mcaddon or .mcpack file, open it with Minecraft and wait for the import to finish. Then enable the resource and behavior packs in the world settings. If the add-on requires experiments, turn them on before launching the world.
