The Watcher is a stalking horror addon built around uncertainty rather than constant direct combat. The creature observes from a distance and often remains at the edge of the player's view. Looking directly at it can force a retreat, but the encounter is not over: it returns, approaches from another direction and waits for the next opening.
A building protects the player from immediate attack, yet does not end the siege. The Watcher can remain outside, appear at windows and knock on doors. Beds do not skip the night, so hiding indoors becomes a period of listening and waiting rather than an instant escape.
Dynamic stalking, custom audio and jump scares make every night less predictable. Running and hiding are important because the creature is designed to pressure the player psychologically before committing to an attack.
The addon keeps achievements available, does not replace player files and requires no experimental toggles.
