Addon: Unearthed Echoes

Unearthed Echoes expands survival with ruins, relic materials, dangerous weather and atmospheric world details.

Seven handcrafted ruins generate at least 128 blocks apart: Lantern Cairn, Ashen Hearth, Sunken Bastion, Vigil Spire, Forsaken Belfry, Verdant Steps and Wayfarer's End. Containers are placed by hand, may be empty and offer three loot tiers. Larger ruins can contain worn equipment, rare resources and guarded encounters.

Sunken Bastion and Vigil Spire have finite garrisons. Their guards wear scavenged Echobronze gear. Echobronze forms a complete material tier with tools, weapons and armor between iron and diamond.

Survival systems include thirst, canteens, purified water and temperature. Leather protects best from cold, fires and shelter provide warmth, while deserts and snowstorms require different preparation.

• a searchable corpse that stores items after death
• placeable backpacks with extra storage

The world receives falling leaves, butterflies, fireflies, birds, footprints, immersive rain, blizzards, sandstorms, biome fog, northern lights, meteors, rainbows, dynamic light and ambient sounds.

A guide book explains the systems, while a settings book controls particles, weather, fog and sky effects. A separate mode adapts these effects for Vibrant Visuals.
