Addon: Blocks, Armor & Tools

Blocks Armor & Tools is a massive addon for Minecraft Bedrock that turns every vanilla block into a full equipment set. Players can transform blocks into tools, weapons and armor: sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe, spear, helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots.

In total, it adds over 1,000 blocks and more than 10,000 craftable items. Every item looks like the material it is made from, so block textures carry over to tools, weapons and armor worn on the character.

First load note

This is a very large addon. To cover every block, the two packs together contain around 38,000 files: roughly 20,000 files in the Behavior Pack and about 18,400 files in the Resource Pack.

Because of this, Minecraft may take longer than usual to launch, apply the packs and load into a world for the first time. The author notes that this is normal and not a bug. Once the first load is complete, the addon should run smoothly.

Special abilities

Abilities are built directly into the gear. They do not require commands, enchantments or potion effects: craft the item, hold the tool or wear the armor and the material ability activates automatically.

Bedrock: armor makes the player take zero damage from fire, lava, falling, drowning, mobs and explosions, while tools one-shot mobs and instantly mine blocks;
Enchanting Table: gear rolls random enchantments by itself every few seconds;
Glowing blocks: Torch, Lantern, Glowstone, Sea Lantern, Shroomlight, Froglight, Beacon, End Rod and more give dynamic light when worn, held or dropped;
Slime: grants jump boost, bounce on landing and extra knockback against mobs;
Fireproof materials: Netherite, Obsidian, Magma, Netherrack and Blackstone give immunity to fire and lava;
Lifesteal: Netherite and Ancient Debris weapons heal the player on hit;
Ignite: Magma, Netherrack and Blackstone weapons set enemies on fire;
Aqua: Prismarine, Sea Lantern, Kelp, Sponge, Coral and Conduit prevent drowning and improve swimming;
Frost: Ice, Snow, Packed Ice, Blue Ice and Powder Snow protect from freezing, while frost weapons stagger enemies;
No fall damage: Honey, Slime, Wool, Carpet, Hay, Leaves, Moss and Sponge remove fall damage;
Animal Care: Wheat, Hay Bale, Carrot, Potato, Beetroot, Pumpkin and Melon heal and feed nearby animals;
Thorns: Cactus, Sweet Berry and Dripstone reflect damage back to attackers.

How to use

Open a crafting table and craft tools or armor from the block you want. Recipes use blocks and sticks with the same shapes as vanilla tools and armor. After that, wear the armor or hold the tool and the material's special ability turns on automatically.

The addon works the same way on PC, mobile and consoles. Commands and cheats are not needed. Experimental toggles are not required either, so achievements remain available.
