Addon: Experiment 8

Experiment 8 is a horror addon for Minecraft Bedrock that adds a parasitic infection to the world. Normal survival becomes a fight against infection: parasites appear at night, infect creatures, create nests and slowly make the world more dangerous.

The addon is not just a small mob pack. It tries to create an infected apocalypse where light, biomes, infected entities and rare mutants affect what happens around the player.

Experiment 8 parasites

Basic Experiment 8 parasites may look weak and slow, but touching them is extremely dangerous. They spawn naturally at night and behave differently around light: they are calmer in darkness, but become more aggressive when exposed to it.

If parasites reach their prey, the infection can continue spreading. Some nests now appear only in infected biomes, while other nests are created from creatures attacked by Experiment 8.

Tissue biome and nests

The addon adds the Tissue biome, a grotesque infected area made of living flesh, bones and unstable organic matter. It is one of the places where the infection begins to spread and where dangerous structures can generate.

In the latest update, the Tissue biome became smaller but more common. More bones can now be found there, and Nest Structures generate more frequently.

Infected creatures

Experiment 8 adds many infected mobs: infected humans, infected villagers, infected animals, infected spiders, infected creepers, infected endermen and other mutated forms.

Some entities have special roles. Corruptor appears from the corpse of an infected human and searches for compatible hosts. Infester infects blocks beneath it and helps spread the infestation. The infected witch attacks with corrupted potions and empowers nearby infected mobs.

Mini boss and mutations

One of the most dangerous enemies is the Infected Iron Golem. It appears when a Corruptor infects an Iron Golem, creating a huge abomination with extremely powerful attacks.

Some infected can split into body remnants, while the Splitter Villager can turn one enemy into several threats. Later infection stages can make even a small encounter spiral out of control.

Items and survival

The addon includes backpacks with loot, resources such as Human Fat and Human Oil, canned food, scrap materials, special items and weapons.

Haz-8 and Veil-3 armor sets protect against fire, negative effects and attacks from basic Experiment 8 parasites when worn as a full set. The Corrupted Ender Pearl can help escape special attacks, but the teleport is risky.

Update

Experiment 8 is now mainly focused on entities;
Flesh Warts and Incubation Tissue were temporarily removed because of performance issues;
the Tissue biome became smaller but more common;
more bones can be found in the Tissue biome;
witches can now become infected;
infected witch abilities were reworked;
Nest Structures generate more frequently;
various bugs and minor issues were fixed.
