Thirty Years War recreates arms, armor, clothing and soldiers from the European conflict of 1618-1648. The equipment follows a seventeenth-century Baroque style and expands survival with both firearms and close-combat weapons.

Musketeers, pikemen, foot soldiers, standard bearers, cuirassiers and warhorses form the military roster. Cuirassiers can fight at range and in melee, while different polearms and swords vary in reach, damage, cooldown and area of effect.

Firearms consume paper cartridges as ammunition. Steel is produced through a dedicated smelting process, and steel armor can be blackened to improve durability. Many armor pieces and civilian garments can be dyed.

Version V003 adds the first full group of soldiers, along with halberds, partisans and pollaxes. It also expands civilian clothing with bodices, Dutch caps, skirts, apron skirts, flat caps and Monmouth caps.

Dyeable clothing and blackened armor let armies be separated visually, while paper cartridges create a distinct supply requirement for firearm units.
